Ready to sign up for the ACT? These simple guidelines will help you through the registration process:
The easiest and fastest way to register for the ACT is online. To register online and pay your child’s registration fees via credit card, please visit the ACT’s registration website.
If you need to register by mail, check if your high school has ACT registration packets. You must register by mail if you need to pay with a check or money order, are younger than 13, or are requesting special test accommodations for the first time.
If you miss the registration date, check the late registration dates listed on the ACT student website.
The ACT registration fee is $32 without the optional Writing section, and $47 with the Writing section included. If you register late, there is an additional late registration fee of $21.
Fee waivers are available for some eligible students.
When you register, you can select up to four colleges to receive your ACT scores at no additional charge. If you wish to add a fifth or sixth college at the time of registration, you can do so for $9 each. You also have the option of sending your scores later, after you’ve seen them.
