ACT retains the right to cancel test scores in the case of disruptions or compromises to the testing session, or of errors in processing or handling registration or test documents. In the rare event of an ACT score cancelation decision where the student was at no fault, students are informed and offered a chance to retest for free or to receive a refund. For more information about ACT-initiated score cancelation, visit the ACT student website.
Students do not have the option to cancel ACT scores unless they inform testing staff, before leaving the test center, that they do not want their test scored. If, for some reason, you did not complete your tests, this is your only recourse for score cancelation.
Unless you became severely distracted or ill and did not complete your test, it is usually a better idea to have it scored. Many students find they did not do as badly as they fear, and as long as there is time to re-take your ACT, Club Z! would be happy to help you study and prepare so that your confidence and scores will both be improved when you next test.
