Club Z! Calgary Tutors

All of our tutors possess either a teaching certificate or are degreed professionals with significant tutoring experience.  They are all screened and personally interviewed by the Area Director. 

Our tutors consider themselves part of a team dedicated to improving and enriching you child's education.  Along with the knowledge and skills that they bring to the sessions, they also offer mentoring and friendship.

After 36 years in full time teaching, I realized that due to the size of each class I taught, there were students who I had little individual contact with.  Along with that , due to the fast paced classroom curriculum, I wanted to focus less on the quantity of my students, and more on the quality of my teaching by bringing one-on-one instruction to the student.  Club Z! Tutoring has been the ideal vehicle for this approach.  I have had mostly long term tutoring assignments, ranging from 6 to 11 months, and I have been welcomed and appreciated in so many homes in the Calgary area.  It is so rewarding to see my students develop their positive academic skills, and a strong bond usually develops through learning together, as I figure out creative and dynamic stratagies to teach them.  I love tutoring for Calgary Club Z!.

I have been tutoring with Club Z! for about two months now and I love it!  I enjoy the one-on-one interaction with my students and their families!  Each time I see my students, I get to see what they are working on at school and assess the areas that I can help them with.  We are able to do so through games, worksheets and hands on activities.  I believe that building a bond with your students gives them the confidence to try and succeed.  Club Z! gives you the opportunity to do that by working in the comfort of the child's own home, with their materials from school.  The flexible hours and close proximity to home, make this an excellent second job to have.
